What fun!!! My kids love popcorn and there are some interesting recipes to choose from. "Bubba's Root Beer Popcorn" and "Peppermint Patty's Pink Peppermint Popcorn" (say that three times fast, lol) are ones that we can't wait to try!! All of the recipes use extracts and food coloring that could probably be found in most grocery stores, or you can purchase them through the links provided in the book. The corn syrup is one thing but these recipes are only. as good as the fake dye and artificial flavors you can get your hands on. Convenient you can purchase from the author's supplier. Big waste of time bothering with this.
So many delicious popcorn recipes. The original caramel recipe is my favorite but the rest sounds delicious and can't wait to make them for my kids soon. I am thinking that I might use some of these as Christmas gifts this year. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes flavored popcorn.
The Prepared Pantry is a company who makes food coloring and food flavoring. They created the Popcorn Handbook. The recipes sound yummy, but you will have to order their products to make these recipes.
Not what I expected. I expected a variety of different popcorn recipes. This is just a shill for a specific product. All recipes are the same, just using different flavors and colors from the company (The Prepared Pantry). Uninstalled.
I have not yet read the book, but the title and variety of recipes brought back happy memories of my grandma's popcorn balls prompting the purchase!
I read this book because I sometimes want the sweeter tasting popcorn. Yummmmmm. I read this book with hopes that this book would give me some other good ones. I can't wait to try the apricot and blueberry flavors. All of the recipes in this book sound easy to.
I`m not sure if I missed it or not but where can I get these flavors to add?? I don't remember having ever saw them.
If you are looking to make sweet crunchy candy coated popcorn, this maybe the cookbook for you. The main starter base are butter and corn syrup, with flavorings and food coloring (which they provide you the links to purchase them). This process also involves traditional popping methods, not microwave popcorn. The techniques are precise and involved, so may not be for beginners.
